I have to say, to be able to capture the black community dressed to the 9s, beautiful, distinguished and glowing on all fronts, was truly a pleasure. There was beauty across the entire venue with smiles, laughs, hugs, and love. My team and I found moments to discuss how beautiful everyone came, admiring the dress wear, the shoes, the styling. And what's even more important is that the community was able to come together for a common cause and rally to get work done.
It is forever important for the Black Community to work together. We don't have to like each other, but that doesn't mean we can't work together. Events like these provide opportunities for us to gather, discuss, laugh and be joyous over food and dancing. And there for sure was dancing. Soul train line and all.
Original Studios is looking forward to next year's Gala, and will be working hard to capture the ALL the moments (not literally "all", but we can shoot for the stars).
